Recently my son (8) moved in with me and my fiancee after years of living exclusively with his mother. Like most kids he has a couple quirks but the one I dont understand and have a difficult time tolerating is his need to touch. What I mean is this: if he is speaking to an adult he will hold their hand, stroke their arm or stomach, etc. Regardless of the type of touching it begins and ends with conversation. I really do not understand what this is about.I have asked him to not do so - at one point I shouted at him about it which brought tears, I felt pretty bad.
