So my last child (2 1/2 yrs old) has officially moved from his crib to a big boy bed. We felt it was time, he seemed ready so down went the crib and we got him a new big boy bed. I'm primarily in charge of bedtimes and I never had any issues with night time or even nap time with him. Read books, get in crib, blow kisses, lights out, door closed and that's it. He may not have gone right to sleep always but no fussing at all. Well now, daddy can't leave the room and I get it. This is all so new to him and he wants his daddy to lay down with him. He even wakes up in the middle of the night now, coming out of his room and hollering for me to come up. I'm actually fine with the interrupted sleep and go right up and lay back down with him. I know this won't last forever. Soon he will be 11 and 15 like his brothers and surely won't need me like he does now. This is it for me and my family in regards to kids and it's starting to hit me. We are always so quick to teach them everything and make them grow up and then we want to go back in time. I can't make that time stop but I am surely going to make sure I spend this time with him while he still needs it and more importantly, wants it. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2a9f5M1
