Parent Friends Who Don't Pull Their Weight

Am I the only one with this problem? I have these friends who just seem to believe that their children are so awesome that any parent would love to look after them so as simply to have them in the presence of their own children. And, OK, so they aren't tough to look after (they're 11 and 7) but it's not like theyre so great that I dont expect some reciprocation. I mean, we just got back from a multi-family camping trip and they just slept in while all the other parents looked after their kids and fed them breakfast. Again, they arent tough, but the presumption is really too much to take. I mean, I really think they think they're doing us a favor by letting us be with their kids.Yes, Im resentful. I mean, really, who looks after someone else's kids without at least the inkling of the concept of getting some reciprocation? Personally, I never ask anyone to watch my kids if I dont intend to do they same for them. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2a3wLqX
