I have 2 son's age 4.5 years old and 7 years old and I think they both are old enough to get an allowance and it will be good for them to learn how to manage and have their own money. I want to have a system where they make a certain amount of money for doing basic responsibilities around the house. Example, $.25 for taking dishes to sink after meals and things like that. However I myself am not always the most structured person(working on it) and I really need a system that is easy to manage and track or else I feel it will be too unfair or I'll be giving them something without teaching them to be responsible.Anyone have suggestions. Or advice on what not to do?What's a good way to manage this system that is easy for both me and them to see and manage?(white board?)Should the 4 year old get less? I was thinking that wouldn't be super fair, but also a progressive scale wouldn't be a bad idea in long term?I recently just lost my wife and I'm working hard to better myself and be more responsible to do what I can for my boys and I just want to do this right. I need a way that will be fair to them and easy to manage. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/298RsPO
