My daughter was talking about how excited she was about St. Patrick’s day at kindergarten. The teachers mess up the rooms like leprechauns had been there, and the kids had set up “traps” the night before to try to lure them with gold and catch them. She said “I hope there isn’t too much...” and she said a word that sounded like TRA-HOUSE.Trahouse?I asked for clarification. “CHAH-HOUSE!”, she said this time. I had misunderstood the first sound. But still... chahouse? She could see my confusion. She got up from the table and ran to her room. I told my wife “Whatever this is, this is going to be good!”She came running back (do kids ever walk?) back with a Stink book (I think... maybe Judy Moody or something like that). She turned to a picture of a messy room and pointed at the word. Chaos.Of course. Cha-house.This is going to be one of those family memories that is never forgotten. <3 via /r/Parenting https://www.reddit.com/r/Parenting/comments/dyomrt/when_reading_ability_outpaces_pronunciation_a/?utm_source=ifttt
