Sometimes you just need cartoons and cookies


Sometimes you need cookies and cartoonsPlease tell me I’m not the only one with a day like this:Long week, long day at work. Everything is fine and thankful I have a job and healthy, but have been running on 6 hours of sleep a night for the past week and the hours that I’m awake are busy both mentally and physically draining. Including waking up super early and packing lunches/getting ready for work early to make it to get flu shots for the whole family before school and work yesterday morning. All good stuff, but I feel like I’ve been sprinting to everything at work at family related for a while now. Anyone relate? Like the feeling of if I sit down for more than 10 mins I will fall asleep.I picked up my 16mo from preschool this afternoon and she was not having anything. Everything annoyed her, she was hungry, tired, cranky, didn’t want to eat anything (even though she was hungry), it’s still hot where I live, I’m tired, not enough coffee.We are sitting together now in front of the tv (my 16mo and myself- my husband is at work) eating apple sauce, chocolate chip cookies and cottage cheese for dinner. Before anyone judges: I know this is not especially healthy. Yes, I know. But sometimes you just need to let all of the “healthy organic homemade no screen time” stuff fly out the window.
