Pregnancy loss, age gap fears

I'm writing to see if anyone else has had a similar situation and moved through it and reframed their expectations. My husband and I have always wanted at least two kids. Once our son was 18 months, we started trying for a second. Finally 6 months later we conceived #2, but the pregnancy ended at 14 weeks. It's been killing me that no matter what we do, our kids will be at least three years apart. I always wanted around 2.5. If it takes a while to get pregnant, we could be looking at 3-4 years. For some reason, the growing age gap makes me insanely anxious about feeling "behind' from others who have 2 under 2, etc. I also worry my son will eventually be asking for a sibling when his friends have their new babies come home. I'm worried about so many things that are out of my control and I just am looking for advice on how to reframe my outlook during this time so that we can not compare our family of 3 to those growing to 4 or more around us. We want to take some time to recover from our loss and we are aware it could take awhile before we have another pregnancy, or even a viable one. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2qbLsob
