“It takes a village to raise a child.” Anyone else going through it relatively alone?

Before becoming a mom, I always had this impression that family would be thrilled to help. All the movies showed relatives coming over and doing laundry, bringing lasagnas, etc. I don’t have very many friends or living family, so I knew that wouldn’t be the case for me, but I can’t help but feel so incredibly jealous. My husband works from 5am-5pm every day, and I take care of our son during that time. When he gets home, I make dinner and get straight to my job. I own a small business and any minute I’m not with my little man, I’m working. I’ve never had anyone help do my laundry, invite me over for a dinner, offer babysitting, etc. I know I’m not entitled to any of that, but it sure as Hell gets discouraging.Anyone else going through this solo? Let’s chat. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/33cKJBt
