My daughter is 1 year and 9 months and this is her second Christmas. Family members have been asking what to get her and I don't know if it is bad etiquette to make a wish list with a bunch of different things on it and provide it ONLY to people who ask what to get her. My husband and I tend to buy her most of her toys and books second hand to cut down on consumer waste but know that isn't something most other people want to do when it comes to holiday gifts. We are expecting a second child in May and I had considered getting our daughter a baby doll, crib, high chair, etc. to help her get ready for the new baby and thought those would be good things to put on a list. Also, neither he nor I need any presents and when everyone asks what we want and we tell people that they still get us random stuff. Would it be bad to suggest they put that money into our daughter's college saving account instead? As of right now I am wary on asking people to do that instead because I worry that is something that could be perceived as money grubbing. Thanks for the suggestions in advance! via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2QOKZTB
