I get frustrated at my daughter’s (5) lack of perseverance.

She will often half-heartedly attempt to do something (like a zip a zipper or find an item), and when she fails to succeed immediately, she melts into a whining, crying pity party that I have a really hard time being sympathetic/patient with.I try really hard to be empathetic with her for things that are difficult for her, but when she doesn’t even put any REAL effort into at least ATTEMPTING a task before melting down, I get really frustrated. How do I develop perseverance in my kid? How should I be dealing with these meltdowns over tasks that she’s decided she can’t do before giving any real attempt at it?? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2NCBJ2U
