Beyond thankful to have a partner who can be there when needed.

My LO (17 months old) has been battling a pretty bad cold for a little over a week now. The fever had surpassed, but it caused both me and my SO to have to each miss a day of work over the last two weeks. To top it off, SO got sick shortly afterwards and it was basically hell for a few days. Then, the cold basically restruck LO and myself this time. SO went to work while I stayed home handling our sick LO, on top of trying to care for myself. While LO has started to feel better, I took a turn for the worse and couldn’t possibly take care of both her and myself today. I could barely get out of bed to get her out of her crib when she woke up this morning, let alone handle everything the entire day.SO ended up coming home from work at 7:45am (he left for work around 5:40am) with breakfast for us, and he took care of LO so I could sleep until around 12:30pm when I was finally able to get medicine to kick in so I could function. I’m still slightly dying, but being able to have my SO come home and take care of both of us while we are sick just makes me feel so blessed and thankful that he’s the second parental unit for my LO. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/33If0bp
