22 yo step son I haven't seen in 7 years is visiting, how can I make him feel welcome?

We moved from uk to USA 7 years ago. My husband had a son in his previous marriage who is coming to visit for December, which is awesome. I've met him before a few times but years ago. We have a room he will use for himself and a bathroom he'll need to share with his 7 yo half sister.I want him to feel welcome and that it's not just a guest room, even though it technically is.
