My 5 year old keeps asking me to get her ears pierced, should I just take her and get it done?

When she goes to girly stores like claires, she gravitates towards earrings and goes “I wish my ears were pierced so I could wear these!” It’s been an on and off topic of conversation for a while. ( she first asked me last year). I’m willing to get them done for her but I’m afraid of her getting ear infections. She’s a dirty kid and I have remind her of washing her hands constantly.
