How much freedom at 12 years old??

I have a 12 yr old girl that I share custody with my ex wife. She stays with me and my wife for a few weeks during the summer and lives with my ex wife during school months. My wife and I allow our daughter to ride her bike and play with friends after my wife gets home at 330. We tell my daughter when ever she is out, that she needs to be home by 5 for dinner. If she chooses to go out again, she is to be home at 8 and we always make sure that we know where she is at. We also do check on her periodically to make sure she is doing what she said she would be doing. We've always explained to our daughter what type of behavior we expect from her and what type of behavior we expect from her friends. I recently told my ex-wife about this and she is losing her shit about it. Am I wrong to let our daughter be out for that long? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2Kfk4M1
