Wanted to share a little 'win' with everyone!

My 4 year old was cleaning up the living room while I did the kitchen and made dinner. The living room has gotten a little out of control worth the holidays and had a lot of toys all over everywhere. His mess. But a big job for a little guy.He did it without complaint. No arguing at all. And that was enough of a win, but he really has never had any trouble chipping in. So not the point of the story.Anyway I noticed I didn't hear him anymore and I went looking for him. I found him on the floor in his bedroom. He has dropped his Lego set on the floor and it shattered into a million pieces. He didn't come running into the living room crying. He didn't throw a fit or lose his temper. He simply went and got the directions (which I had no idea he he saved) and sat down and put it back together. And when he was done, he put it all away and started cleaning the living room again. If I hadn't have gone looking for him, I'd have never known about any of it.It is a win. I can't call it a parenting win, because it's all on him. But honesty I was just so proud of him!And I knew I wanted to share somewhere because I wanted to brag. But I know my friends don't have kids so they just don't understand why it's such a big deal. He is turning out awesome! via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2AvQvSb
