Parents with dangerous jobs, how do you deal with your kids gears about you dying?

I work a dangerous job and my kids (6 year old twins and 3.5 year old) have recently all become very concerned about my safety after two recent work related funerals. I took the kids to one because they knew the person well but I went to the other alone.I'm not sure how to deal with this. I have read then books about what I do, have taken them to my place of work, and we have discussed their fears. I tell them that I'm as safe as I can possibly be. My daughter has to be taken to the school social worker recently because she was crying so much in class about me going to work. My 3.5 year old son couldn't sleep the other night because I was at work and he was afraid. I feel like some of it is then feeding off of each other. Do we need to seek therapy? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2K3RD3c
