I’m a child but I need advice...

My friend has the most loving father ever. He always tell her he loves her to the moon and back in Spanish and try’s to make her happy, but recently she told me that one day when her mom was gone with her siblings and it was just her and her dad that he hurt her. She was told to sweep and mop the kitchen floor, but she didn’t do it fast enough for him and instead she played a game on her phone. Her dad walked in and saw her on her phone then came up to her and put both his hands on her neck and started to yell at her whilst banging her head against the wall. I know that this is the first time anything like this has ever happened. I don’t really know what to do. Should I tell someone or just let it go and be there for her. And if it happens again tell someone. I need advice. Btw we are both 15 and have been friends forever and I know it’s selfish but I don’t want to break her trust by telling anyone. It could never happen again though and I would just be breaking up her family. It was probably just a mistake right because he must be stressed or something. I’m really worried for her, but I don’t want to ruin her family. Thanks for reading this and advice would help. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2OOYcHJ
