My older two are 4 and 7. Both active little boys. The younger one has unusually dry skin and it gets irritated easily. We believe it's the result of a medical condition but are still waiting on results. Anyway, the doctor recommended we stop bathing him everyday. He went a step further and said we should stop bathing both boys everyday because they need to keep their natural oils. The problem is that they are actual dirt magnets. We live in southern California so it's still plenty nice and the boys are outside constantly. They always come back to the house dirty and disheveled. We do baths after dinner and as part of our night time routine. I hate the idea of them doing to bed dirty and need to condition their hair anyway so it's easier to manage in the morning. The older one usually has dirt or sweat in his hair. The younger one doesn't sweat but still ends up with dirt everywhere. They are also involved in organized sports a few nights a week so they get dirty there as as well.We don't want our kids to walk around looking dirty but I don't know what we are supposed to do if the doctor recommends not bathing them. I feel like the only one in the world with this problem. Am I doing something glaringly wrong? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2QyE9yN
