I have borderline personality disorder, a delusional disorder and an eating disorder. My symptoms are more severe and difficult to treat/cure due to parental interference with my medical care. They have Munchausens and Munchausens by proxy. My brother is 12 and I am his only guardian in terms of moral guidance, protection and emotional support. I am an adult (18) but live at home while attending community college. I have a 4.0 and have only missed one day of classes, which was the day immediately after I attempted suicide. I work and pay for my own tuition, transportation and personal expenses such as haircuts and clothing. Two years ago my ex tried to groom my brother and his female friend for sex. I intervened and told the other victim’s parents. My brother started self harming again (hadn’t since age 7) and having suicidal thoughts (hadn’t since age 9) so I told him to tell his teacher because I felt that I couldn’t handle the situation. My mother told him that he would get arrested and tortured by police and that I wanted him to get abused so I was leading him into a trap. He refused to seek help so I contacted his school counselor. My mother retaliated by spreading lies about me. She encourages him to distrust me and accused me of molesting him (not legally thankfully). My parents are out of the house for 12 hours a day attending their religious group so I’m responsible for him. He is frequently physically and verbally abusive and learned psychological torture from our parents. He shows signs of suicidal thoughts at times and I seriously suspect PTSD symptoms because when I attempted suicide four years ago our parents forced him to help them clean up the blood from our bathtub and because I think I may not have been as successful in protecting him from pedophiles as I like to think. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2S6OqCE
