Homeschooling or public school?

How did you decide? I’m a sahm and my daughter will be 5 next year. We are still conflicted on which direction we want to take.We feel that both offer very valuable yet different opportunities.Edit to add some details:Before I became a stay at home mom I was an art teacher for a public elementary school. Our daughter’s health is a waiting game. She has a rare genetic disorder. Right now, it only affects her physically and it’s nothing too serious. This won’t be the case forever. She will most likely lose her vision by adulthood on top of other serious issues and that is not a situation I take lightly.Due to the fact that her time with sight and good health is limited, showing her the world is extremely important to us. I want her to experience it all; the world and the inside of a classroom. We 100% would not homeschool past 6th grade or maybe sooner depending on how things are going.I am not too concerned with the socialization aspect. Our daughter is adopted from China and we have an amazing amount of friends through the local adoption community. We are also getting more involved in the visually impaired community. For someone who hasn’t even started school, she has a ton of friends lol via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2JdPCkp
