Understanding and being supportive of an asexual child.

Hello everyone, I'm on mobile so I hope this comes out ok.My oldest daughter (19) is asexual. I was prepared for gay, straight, bi, and even trans but asexual is a confusing thing to me. I want to be supportive to her, and I accept her for who she is 100%. It's just I really don't know how. I seem to say all the wrong things, I asked if she would like for me to go to the pride festival with her. She says that she doesn't fit into the gay community, that asexuals aren't LGBT. She says that asexuals are even looked down upon.I feel at such a loss. I love her so much and am so proud of her. I sit and listen to her feelings and opinions, I try my best to communicate but when I don't know how to respond she gets angry. I really hope you guys can give me some feedback. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2O5Rmgs
