Help dealing with an aggressive child in daycare

tl,dr: violent 4 year old in daycare, can't be sent out of class- need tips for managing behaviorA friend of mine called me for advice yesterday and I was completely stumped by the absurdity of the situation she's in, so I told her I'd ask on reddit, I will try to respond to questions, but it may take her awhile to get back to me with answers.She got a new student recently, who has been extremely violent, both to her and the other kids, the student is 4, so it's not the absolute end of the world, but when she called me it had progressed to the kid throwing a chair at her. Hitting, kicking, throwing things, screaming and creating distractions in order to find opportunities to attack others has all been commonplace.Obviously the right answer here is that the child needs more help than this situation can provide, but she's in a unique situation in which her employers will not allow her to:a) send the child out of classb)call the parents to pick up the childc) obtain help from other teachers during the outburstsThey basically tell her to handle it herself, belittle her when she asks for help, and guilt her when she asks to have the parents called to pick up the child.The goal here is to come up with literally any ideas for helping this child maintain proper behavior throughout a four hour day. Literally anything you can throw out will be discussed and possibly attempted to mitigate this situation so far as helping the child is concerned. The administration is another matter entirely, this post is just about helping the child get through the day.All that is known (to her) about the childs home life is that the parents just split up, and she has never been allowed to meet the parents, she leaves behavioral notes after her time with the child, but hasn't been contacted by the parents and doesn't know if they are receiving the notes or not.​ via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2E0uvTU
