Quick Backstory: My wife and I make our kids (9yo & 10yo boys) memorize lists before they can have any electronic time (we're believers in them earning their rewards). When we first started this, we started with the presidents starting from George Washington and going to Donald Trump. We started with them memorizing the first five presidents, and then every day after that they want to watch TV or play video games we have them add the next president onto that last. So, anyways, they can say all the presidents from George Washing to Donald Trump. Right now, we're working on the 50 states -- in the order that they joined the union -- and their capitals. They're up to Washington state now (state #42 that joined the Union) and they can tell us each of their capitals. I also reward them $50 at the end of each list that they memorize.Anyways, I'm looking for ideas for a new list for them to memorize after they finish up this list of states. I was thinking of the period table of elements, but I want to see if there are better ideas than that. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2GFtj9c
