Leaving my toddler for 3 days

Hi,I am traveling for work and I am wondering what's the best approach to take to minimize my boy's emotions. I expect him to feel a few things: - angry that I leave him for 3 days - neglected - unloved (which is definitely not the case)And I would like to avoid scaring him early in life (even I am sure I am and will be making parenting mistakes...).He is 2.5 y.o, can speak and can reason (a little).I was wondering : buy him a toy before the trip? After the trip? Is buying a toy a form of "admission of guilt" which will do more harm than good? Shall I tell him or leave it to my wife to explain after I have left? (fells cowardly)In short: what do you guys think would be the best way to proceed?Thank you for your input! via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2Jkki2v
