Big grey area subject. Our son is 4 (we'll call him Sam), and at daycare there is a particularly difficult child (Steve also about 4). Steve likely has a condition on some spectrum as he is very unique. He often yells VERY loudly, takes toys, aggressively seeks a close friend, never shares, difficult with authority, but is occasionally sweet too and gives random hugs. He is also incredibly smart and can read complex words already. Our son, Sam, is...average. Good kid...nothing alarming one way or another.Anyway, Steve recently asked Sam "do you like me?" to which Sam said "No". The daycare provider tried to talk to him saying that isn't polite, but we all realize the correct thing isn't to tell Sam to lie. We want to equip our son with a tool or way to deal with this without hurting Steve's feelings...but being true to himself as well.FYI, there are only about 6 kids at this daycare at varying ages, so playing in another area is...tough. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2HHFDmQ
