Three year old refuses to wear sleeves.

My three year old has been refusing to wear shirts with long sleeves for about two months. She will wear her coat, so I've been just going with it. This morning she was eating yogurt that had the batman logo on it, which inspired her to wear her batman dress to preschool. But after putting it on she realized it had long sleeves and had a total meltdown, ripping it off as if it was on fire.What gives? Is this just three year old weirdness?
