I've never been a big fan of the scaring the young man angle. My daughter's a senior and has her first boyfriend. He's a nice, polite young man who treats my daughter well. I treat him well, too, and am eager to engage him in conversation and learn about him, his life, his ambitions, etc. Seems an odd strategy for a grown man to try and scare and intimidate a teenager. Plus, I remember when I was a teen and the fear was pretty inherent already. Other dads, your approach? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2tfLagI
