How much time can a parent spend with a significant other?

Lately my little bro is always talking to me about how sad he is that our mom seems more distant than usual. He’s 12 and lives in a different state. My mom has been seeing a nice guy who also has two young teens of his own but lately they’ve been going out for longer. She sleeps over his house once a week, it used to be on Friday nights that she’d leave but now it’s on Mondays and Fridays. My brother also tells me that she just seems more distant and talks to her s/o on the phone more often now and that our sister (20) seems to be the one cleaning/taking care of our brother a little more in general. They’ve talked to my mom about this in the past and she apparently just gets upset and says things like “I can’t have fun too?” when my sister tells her that she would like to go out more/have fun and not have to be at home with my brother when she’s gone.
