My wife and I have been separated since June, divorce will be final soon, so we're going through a year a firsts when it comes to co-parenting. My son's 6th birthday is coming up and as I'm thinking about all the plans it seems like a little much. He's having a party for friends where there will be cake, presents, etc. We also have plans to celebrate with my family who lives out of town... More cake and presents. I can only imagine his mom is planning the same with her family. These are weekend events, but his actual birthday is on a weekday. He'll start the day with his mom and will likely have "party pancakes" for breakfast. I'll have him that night and was thinking, I've got to have a present for him to open... And more cake? That's like five birthday celebrations! Is this crazy? What do people do? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2GJB8Yh
