My son is six and it seems that against all my efforts I have spoilt him. Always thought I was tough on teaching him how to accept disappointment well and understand that he can't always get his way, but still he behaves like a law unto himself and I am often lost in how to deal with it. For example this morning I took him to the park but come time to go he plain refuses to cooperate and plants his feet like a tree, then starts acting up until we're arguing. It's embarrassing. Then when we do get home and it's time for an afternoon nap, he won't settle down, refuses to get into bed and basically pushes me until I want to smack him. But I so don't want to smack him, I just don't know what the Hell else I should do. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2FPwQS8
