So my kid is just hitting two years old and has become very comfortable not eating a damned thing. He eats breakfast fine but lunch or supper he refuses almost everything. Anything with any kind of texture, he'll refuse. Any meat whatsoever, he'll refuse. Even bread, which he used to eat fine he'll say no to.Lately the only thing he'll take is a kind of vegetable puree... that we sometimes smush meat into to get some protein in him. I feel like we're sliding backwards towards infancy. We've tried a ton of stuff. If he doesn't eat, we'll turn him away from the table until he does... the only problem is he still never wants to and then spends the whole meal away from the table. Then we started putting in a kind of 'time out' chair if he doesn't eat- but he's perfectly content staying there until it's time for bed. My MIL suggested putting his bowl somewhere for him to go to himself if he's hungry (she thinks its a control thing) so I guess we'll try that tonight.Honestly we're all just frustrated. We end our nights lately at our wits end, with a kid that doesn't eat and is usually crying because he barely ate anything and had no dessert or reading/playing time. Has anyone had a similar issue and found a fix?FYI, I don't think this is a physiological issue... because if it's something he really wants to eat he has absolutely no problem physically eating. It just seems like he doesn't want most things. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2EEIv5u
