CPS is coming to interview us on Monday. What should I expect? (Texas) (X-posted to /r/AskParents)

This is my first time on this subreddit, so please excuse me if I make a mistake. I'm distraught right now.My husband and I took a trip out of town to a city about 2 hours away. We left our 16 year old daughter at home. She's a good child, AP student, always very responsible. Her adult brother is just a phone call and 5 minute drive away, we know our neighbors, she catches the bus to and from school, safe neighborhood, etc. She was in charge of taking care of our beloved dog and cat, and she takes that duty very seriously. We truly felt safe leaving her for 2 nights, staying in contact, of course.During dinner while we were gone the first night, we get a call from our daughter's phone. It's an EMT letting us know that our daughter had drunk most of a bottle of wine, then cut her arms and legs before calling 911. We were completely shocked and devastated; she had done superficial cutting in the past, but had been in outpatient therapy and on antidepressants since then, and we thought she was doing really well. In fact, we had just talked to her when we got to our destination, and she'd said she was happily at home, eating pizza and watching Netflix.Anyway, she was taken to the ER and checked out. She insisted she hadn't been suicidal, and the doctor found that the cuts were superficial. It was up to us if we wanted to take her home or admit her to the juvenile psych facility across from the hospital. We decided to admit her because we want her to have as much help as possible.Went to the hospital, filled out paperwork to admit her. We have still not gotten to see or speak to her, and won't be able to until she's admitted. The problem is, the juvenile psych facility is full, so she's being kept in the regular psych ward until a bed opens up. We cannot visit or talk to her until this happens. So my husband and I return home, freaking out with worry, and we get a call from CPS. They want to come out Monday and interview us. That doubled my panic. I understand why they need to talk to us, but I have zero experience with CPS. I was wondering what to expect? We don't know where she got the alcohol, because we don't drink. However, my husband flips houses, and he said the wine might have been a leftover bottle he had from staging a kitchen a year or so ago.Are we in danger of having our child taken from us?Thank you in advance. via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2DYulfa
