Library fail

Took my 18 month old to the library today. We played with the blocks and I did my best to keep him amused while I got a new card to check out books for him.10 minutes into it he sees a 6 and 8 year playing with some kind of drawing robot and wants to look. He dashes over before I can react. Does he stand at the table or climb into an empty chair? Nope. He crawls directly into the lap of the girl who looked about 6. She looked scared and confused, but she and I'm assuming her mom were nice while I pulled him away and apologized several times.I don't want to be that parent with that kid. Is there a better way to start teaching boundaries and climbing on random people like that at home or just teach in short increments at the library? via /r/Parenting http://ift.tt/2nCF1nn
