My kid is a liar - too smart for his own good

My almost 3-year-old gets overwhelmed easily. Christmas took a week. He's happy after about 10 Easter eggs. And last night, he made it a block before he asked to go home.We were with friends and I told him we only had one block to go. Then he pulled me close and whispered, "Mommy, I pooped in my underwear." We've been working on potty training and this is his biggest problem. So I picked him up and we headed home.And it turns out, he's a liar. He was totally clean/dry. I asked him if he was faking and he said "Yes - I wanted to come home and play.
