13 yo niece is in the hospital. The physical damage isn't bad, but the mental issues have the hospital wanting to keep her for a while. It appears to stem from her father, who apparently is more of an alcoholic asshole that I knew. Her parents are divorced, I haven't seen him in years.Lawyer was consulted, apparently this isn't enough to impact custody. So, question is... what I can do as an uncle? Both in the immediate, and the long term?(Yes, I'm reusing a throwaway.
