Should I find a new pediatrician?

I'm on the fence about our pediatrician. I'm a FTM with a 6 month old baby. To try and keep this short and easy to skim, here are my likes and dislikes:Like: -Very friendly - Good report with my baby - Great office staff - Easy to get in for appointments, convenient hours and location - Not a radical kind of guy, moderate in terms of vaccines and looking for pathology while still being proactive - He has good follow through from one month to the next; he always checks in to see how issues from before are developing and changingDislike: - When I ask him to explain why he is in favor of a certain intervention or treatment, his answer is often something like "It's the way we traditionally do it." So rather than having explored and digested the research on his own, he seems to rely on what's "standard" in the medical community. - When I ask him about trends in baby care, like "baby lead weaning", he doesn't know what I'm talking about and hasn't heard of it. He's only like 45, but doesn't have kids of his own, and doesn't seem interested in staying abreast of changing fads in parenting. This is a problem because then I'm essentially just using Google to decide how to feed my kid. - When I asked him how we should introduce solids, he said start with cereals, then mushed up veggies, etc. and when I asked him why do it this way, he fell back again on "it's how I was taught". I wish he had an answer that was more along the lines of "I've researched many ways, and feel this is best because...."TL;DL I wish he were more into researching current information rather than just falling back all the time on "what he was taught."
