Nervous about this appointment

My 12yr old son had been diagnosed with ADHD a couple of years ago. Since then, I haven't been able to shake the feeling that something else is wrong. I don't have time right now to list all of the issues, but I finally managed to convince the head of a psychology clinic to have someone do the phone screening. We did that and now we have an appointment for assessment today.I am scared. I am terrified that they are going to tell us that there is something wrong that they can't really do anything about. His bio dad is a sociopath, and he hasn't had any contact with him since he was 4. But there are other mental health diagnosis on my side of the family as well. I feel like he has had the cards stacked against him...But I need this clarity. I need to know if he is doing this stuff on purpose or if he has lost some level of control over it. Our home life is a mess of every one yelling at each other all day long.
