How hard is it to entertain toddlers?

I was waiting to get a blood test and there was Dad with his son in the waiting room, I’m really not a good judge of kids age but I’m going to say he was about 2.Mum goes into the room to get her blood done and the little one looks over out of his stroller as the door closes while dad assures him mum will be back. While Dad and son wait for mum to get her blood done, dad utilises things In his surroundings to keep the little one entertained. Really all he used was a magazine and he pointed out all the things a kid would notice on each page like how green the grass was in a picture and making dog noises when there’s a dog in the photo and just stuff that isn’t relevant to the photo but would keep a kid entertained and I could really see the interest in the boys eyes.While I watch in the corner of my eye I can’t help but to think what an awesome job dad is doing, but I also think I’m not smart and witty enough to do these things when my time comes. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2xVR3CX
