Using my throwaway because DH knows my usual username.Title pretty much says it all - I’m freaking out because I caught my MIL putting my baby to sleep but the way she was doing it looked scary. She had him on her legs using a pillow and was rocking him side to side, but she was being so aggressive with it my poor baby’s head was just bobbing side to side so fast. I’m terrified she’s done damage to his brain and don’t know whether to tell DH.When I walked in the room and saw it I told her to stop immediately. She just said ‘Your son is so stubborn, don’t worry this is how I got all my kids to sleep!’ I took my baby back and won’t let her have him alone again, I’m so angry and worried for his well-being. I haven’t told DH yet in case he thinks I’m overreacting but I’m absolutely fuming about it.Has anyone else used this technique to get baby to sleep? Is it safe? Should I call the docs?
