Feel like a horrible parent because my son has no one to play with

My wife is very introverted and I have I real difficult time moving past the line of friendly to friends. My son (8) is amazingly outgoing if a bit awkward sometimes. Now that we are stuck at home he has not been able to see anyone but us for over a month.the bad part is I have no way of trying to arrange a virtual play date because I failed to get involved with other parents. Was never able to make play dates. Sometime because my job. Sometimes because of the stigma of a dad trying to arrange play dates for my son with his friends mom. Sometimes Because my wife gets uncomfortable with the actual meeting of people.today he wrote on one of his assignments that he has no friends like the character in the story.geez, if I didn’t feel like a failure before (depression pretty much makes that a constant) that one is going to keep me up.his teacher is supposed to have a daily class online.
