I posted on this sub exactly 22 days ago because my wife and I were at our wit's end with our daughter's terrible sleeping. The day she turned 6 months old, 5 nights ago, we decided to finally give the ferber method a proper chance. For context, by that point our daughter was waking up every one to two hours. There'd be days were I just slept in her room to catch her just before she started crying just so my wife could get some more sleep. It was getting to us.Well, first night of Ferber she cried for 36 painful minutes but she finally fell asleep on her own. She woke up a bunch that night, but she managed to self-sooth before the second check-in. I was honestly blown away by how quickly she caught on.Then came the naps the following day. She cried maybe 3 minutes on her first nap, and then seconds on the subsequent ones. It's unreal how well it worked and how proud we felt.Second night she went down before the first check in. Still a handful of night wakings but she'd be down in 2-3 minutes. The next day she killed it with every single nap.On the third night, she slept for 12 goddamn hours without a single tear. We're talking about a baby who'd wake up 6 - 7 times each night. We're on night 5 and we couldn't be happier. She's a happier baby and we're happier parents.Seriously, if you're on the fence about giving sleep training a chance I seriously suggest you look into it. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/3cFG3bp
