I just had my baby 3 weeks ago, which my MIL was involved in. For the most part my baby tends to poop ever 3 days or so, usually in the form of what me and my husband call the poopacolypse. Its mustard and seedy and perfect for her age. However every time my MIL visits she insists that because my baby doesnt poop every single day that shes unhealthy, despite having five different pediatric doctors and nurses saying shes fine any time we bring up her bowel health and that she can go up to ten days without pooping and its not a problem unless there are other issues along with it. MIL says we need to switch pediatrics because "thats not normal for a baby" despite seeing her actual doctor ONCE. Our baby likes to grunt and babble a lot and she keeps insisting its my baby trying to poop and that shes constipated but i know better than anyone how easy it is for her to poop because she has no problem doing it on me when i wipe her down at the right time.Have any of you dealt with this issue? Ive already gotten into one argument with her already and now shes trying to bring her doctor cousins into the mix and its getting out of hand. How do i convince her to either understand her bowel movements are okay or to just back off without burning bridges?Update: baby had her poopsplosion, hopefully now MIL will back off but im loving all of these suggestions so far and am definitely having a talk with husband about reduced visits via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2N1ukJR
