Smoking Grandparent

Hi all. I'm needing some advise to see what the right decision is regarding my mother and child. My daughter (6 year old) loves to go to Grandma's house and stay. She is usually there once a week for about 12-24 hours. The last few times she has come home she has a cough and is congested. My mother smokes in her basement and not directly around my child but her house does smell like cigarettes. My mother lives alone and looks forward to this time every week and my daughter does as well. We went to the doctor and they asked if my daughter is around 2nd hand smoke. We are concerned that the 2nd/3rd hand smoke is affecting my daughter's health. Are we right to not allow my daughter there anymore? I know if we make this decision it will be hard on both my mom and daughter. We thought about allowing my mom to come to my house to visit instead. This normally does not work well because my mom is a home-body does not like to leave her house unless she has too.Any advise? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2OPrk4R
