I was about to reward my daughters with a bowl of ice cream each for not fighting all day and they started fighting over who gets the Chase (Paw Patrol) Bowl.

I told them they could stay up until midnight and play with their toys if they want to as long as they don’t fight. I go back downstairs to watch Netflix and chill and I’m an hour and a half in and have totally forgotten they’re even awake. I’m impressed so I decided to make them each a bowl of ice cream and take it up to them as a reward because we’re trying to find more ways to positively reinforce. I get upstairs and half expect to open their door to them passed out in a pile of their toys. But nope, they’re happily and quietly playing. I surprise them with the ice cream and the youngest says, “I get the Chase Bowl. I called it!” Oldest: NOOO! You always get the Chase Bowl Youngest: “But I called it!” I had to put the ice cream down and separate them. Now they’re sleeping and I’m eating ice cream. Silver lining.Edit: Ages are 8 and 9 via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2MvCSsf
