Stepfather and brother in law made comments about my son wearing his Elsa dress and it really embarrassed him... just wanna get this out.

My little boy loves Frozen. He loves Elsa and Anna. He got both dolls among an Elsa dress from my sister. My brother in law immediately starting saying that we needed to "get this kid some G.I. Joe's" while my stepfather saw the dress and (jokingly, as he said later) said "NO, uh uh, do not put that dress on him".After asking my son if he wanted to wear it now, hes told me he would "wear it later". I know he only said this because everyone was making comments. I could see it in his face.Later on, while he and his cousin were watching Frozen, he called to me and whispered that he wanted to wear his dress now, but didnt want anyone to look at him. So he hid behind some pillows on the couch and wore his dress while watching his favorite movie.I was heartbroken for him and livid at my family. I hated that he felt like he had to hide the fact that he was wearing his Elsa dress because people were making fun of him. He is 4 fucking years old. If he wants to dress up like Elsa then so fucking what???Anyway, just wanted to get that off my chest. via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2EUWOka
