We live in NYC, so the other day I took my two girls (ages 1 & 4) in the double stroller to the tree at Rockefeller Center while my wife was working from home. The girls were both calm the whole time and enjoyed seeing the tree. The block we walked down was very crowded and we slowly but happily made our way through. Almost all in a row, a handful of people commented: "You are so brave!" and "Wow, good for you for bringing them out!" and "You're the dad of the year!" Except all I was doing was strolling them at Rockefeller Center. I wasn't even dealing with a meltdown or anything remotely problematic. Do we have such a low standard for dads that a simple outing warrants such praise? via /r/Parenting https://ift.tt/2PYQQ8c
