Why is it such a stereotype that new parents don’t shower?

I was told my entire pregnancy to “enjoy my last shower because I wouldn’t be able to shower anymore now that I have a new baby”. I have showered every single night since my baby was born and am now 5 months PP and am still showering every night. Am I doing something wrong?
