Yeah, so a few days ago my daughter had a nosebleed in the morning and said she didn't feel well..she held a tissue to her nose whih was visibly spotted with blood. My spider senses started tingling..something seemed "off" but I wasn't sure. Nonetheless I sent her to school and all was well for the rest of the day. Now my girl is on a 3-day-trip with her class and while cleaning her room, I took her phone and checked through her WhatsApp messages. I do that from time to time, to make sure everything is ok. I don't care about the usual teenage drama and talks but because of mobbing problems in her class I do want to make sure there are certain lines not crossed. With social media it's very different from back when I was in school. Anyways, my daughter knows that and it was a requirement when she got her phone, so yes, I might be invading her privacy but that's part of the deal. So I found out that day she faked the nosebleed by using a bottle of fake blood I have in a bathroom cabinet for Halloween costumes...Ta daaa...lol...gotta give it to her, quite original. Now I know why the blood looked kinda "off" to me...so, what do I do now? First instinct was to strangle her like Homer does Bart. The thing is, she did it because of some minor drama with a classmate. She was scared to go to school because of somethig she said about a girl and thats why she was looking for a way to skip school that next day. Just today, before they went on the class trip and I said goodbye to her at the school, she was all happy again with that classmate. So really, nothing bad. But of course stuff like this I don't wanna let fly by. Should I talk to her about it when shes back? What if the next time she has a "nosebleed"? I sure as hell won't let her play these stupid games. So, ladies and gents - what would you do? via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2Wp66PB
