My son read a book without complaining!

My 7 year old boy has ADHD, a developmental delay, and has been on an IEP since kindergarten. Reading has always been where he struggles most. But he's made so much progress this past year, and I am super proud of him!! At the beginning of the school year, he struggled to read anything, even simple words. But just today, I asked him to read me a book, and he got through it without complaint! He read some pretty hard words, without sounding them out, and he did great! For the first time he was proud of his own reading, and I think he even surprised himself. He's exceeded most of his IEP goals, and with all his progress I feel like he's much more on level with his peers. Here's hoping I can keep him reading all summer long! via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2I02GJT
