Using a throwaway for obvious reasons. My senior son fucked up big time. He was involved in a senior prank that involved putting farm animals in the school overnight. The animals were let lose, destroyed the school, and some of the animals were injured in the process. They haven't figured out who did it yet but my son has admitted to us that he was involved. He felt bad and volunteered to help with repairs this weekend.I don't want to say what side I am on because I don't want opinions to reflect that but one parent thinks he should come clean because he might get caught anyway and it'll look worse. My son does not want to come clean and is convinced he won't get caught since they avoided the main entrance where cameras are. The other parent believes that coming clean could put the son in legal trouble. My son is going to a highly ranked university this August and the potential of being rescinded is something one parent wants to consider.Who is right? Do we make him confess or hope it blows over? via /r/Parenting http://bit.ly/2HUnfaJ
